Geisinger Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Scranton, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA is seeking a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our pediatric hospitalist team. Experience preferred but new graduates will be considered.

Job Duties

  • Coverage for deliveries as needed to include coverage for C-sections. Care will be for low-risk deliveries of well infants 35 weeks and above.

  • Most admissions from community-based physicians and upon referral from ED

  • Receive consults from other services on admitted patients

  • 7 on / 7 off, 7 AM – 7 PM

Education

Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required), Master's Degree-Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)

Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania; Certified Physician Assistant - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA); Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
