Job Summary :

Responsible for development and maintenance of Health Plan contracts

and member benefit and related documents according to applicable regulations and standards. Identifies issues and risks in document development. Ensures Health Plan's continued compliance with managed care and insurance regulatory requirements as it relates to Health Plan contracts and member benefit and related documents.

Reports directly to the General Counsel, Legal Services.

Competencies and Skills:

Demonstrated strong project management and organizational skills.

Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret managed care and insurance regulations.

Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including a high technical aptitude.

Demonstrated thorough working knowledge of current software systems including but not limited to Word and Excel.

Demonstrated willingness and ability to travel to meetings throughout the Geisinger Health System. May require occasional evening and weekend hours.

Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance with established departmental appearance standards.

Education and or Experience:

BA or BS required.

An advanced degree or legal/paralegal education and training

preferred.

Three to five years experience with a health care provider rendering

regulatory support or with an insurance plan in a regulatory

environment required.

Supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge of current managed care and/or insurance regulatory

environment required.

Other related experience may be considered in lieu of these stated

requirements.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Work is typically performed in an office environment.
