JOB TITLE: Carpenter/Painter

LOCATION: Annex Building

DEPARTMENT: Facilities Operations

WORK SCHEDULE: Evenings

WORK TYPE: Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides skilled general carpentry, cabinet-making, painting, and wall covering services.

Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Geisinger Medical Center in its

efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction.

Works under the supervision of the Carpenter/Painter Supervisor or Project Superintendent.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Demonstrates the ability to read, write, perform simple mathematical calculations, read

blueprints, estimate materials, select proper materials and hardware, use hand and power

tools (i.e. electric, pneumatic), use various types of wood, plastic and other building materials and use painting/wall covering methods, materials, and tools.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Minimum two years' experience or equivalent education and experience in carpentry,

painting required.

Current valid PA driver's license required.

Minimum six months to become proficient in carpentry and painting duties required.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to work from heights.
