Geisinger Application Developer Intermediate (Microsoft Power Platform) in Danville, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

Geisinger is currently seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Developer to support the services offered by the Enterprise Solutions Digital Workspace team. The Developer will work primarily with the Communication and Collaboration team to deliver enterprise level services and solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform, including PowerApps, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Automate, Teams, custom development, and integrations with products such as Adobe Sign. Additionally, the developer will work with business partner, digital agents, and IT partners to evaluate and propose solutions; collaborate with team, product owners, business users, and technical leads to build, promote, and refine Power Platform dashboards, data visualization reports, data models, automation processes, low code application development, and general system integration. As a Power Platform expert, this role will collaborate with the team and stakeholders to define requirements, develop powerful data driven solutions, and support Power Platform training, as needed. The location of this position is flexible and can operate fully remote within the United States, fully in-person at our Danville campus, or in a hybrid model of both in-person and remote. Standard working hours are in the eastern time zone. Candidates must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Job Duties

  • Design and implement processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, and analysis to enable informed business decisions.

  • Utilize connectors, leverage the AI Builder, design Power BI dashboards, build canvas apps, build Power Apps portals, and leverage Power Automate to create business process flows.

  • Design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing

  • Work with stakeholders to identify trends, aggregate data and build visually appealing reports, dashboard within Power Platform

  • Develop information tools, dashboards, automation flows and queries to monitor and improve business performance.

  • Create solutions from initial concept to production.

  • Extract and compile various sources of information and large data sets from various systems to identify and analyze outliers.

  • Set up processes for monitoring, tracking, and trending data.

  • Use Agile best practice to design, develop, and maintain solutions built in enterprise applications platforms.

  • Develop, document, and monitor application interfaces and architecture for enterprise applications and related integrations.

*Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and degree obtained (Associate’s Degree = 2 years; Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years).

Position Details

Highly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Microsoft Power Platform - MS PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI is necessary.

  • Strong foundational knowledge of Microsoft 365 including the Azure AD, and Azure ecosystem is necessary.

  • Experience in higher education preferred.

  • Experience as a SharePoint Site Owner and/or Site Collection Administrator preferred.

  • Strong business analysis and functional understanding, including requirements gathering, creating/deploying solutions to end users.

  • Ability to interact with business units and coworkers in a positive and proactive manner.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)- (Required)
